UK'S FIRST HYDROGEN POWERED RADIO-CONTROLLED (RC) CAR
Collaboration with Toyota, Tamiya and Bramble Energy to build a hydrogen-powered RC car.
Up to 2x the running time, direct fitment to existing off-the-shelf RC cars, mini-hydrogen canisters easily replaced and exchanged.
20 W hydrogen polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEFC) - Bramble Energy
7.2 V 2100 mAh NiMH battery
2x Hydrostik Pro, each 10 L of H2 @ 30 bar, purity >99.995% (refilled by an electrolyser)
Brushed 540 motor 27T
TT-02 chassis with 4WD
Gear ratio = 8.27 : 1
Electric powertrain consists of hydrogen PEFC and NiMH battery.
Fuel cell delivers power directly to the motor and recharges the batteries if they are below a state-of-charge (SOC).
Once H2 has depleted, you have the additional range of a fully charged battery, as with the original setup of the RC car.
SPECIFICATIONS
POWERTRAIN DESIGN
Complete control of fuel cell power delivery, including safety features.
Control of hydrogen fuel delivery and exhaust.
Voltage control.
